  • ha Gleason lost... talked shit and lost

  • @lakeraider77 He stood up for his teammate. That's what counts in my book, and in the books of Caniacs.

  • @lakeraider77 Gleason still had his gloves on. Obviously he wasn't trying to engage in a fight, he simply wanted Gaustad to back off. Gaustad then started punching Gleason out of no where -aka- sucker punched. The announcer even said that Gleason was suckered by Gaustad. Anyway, by your definition if we were standing face to face and then out of no where I hit you, that would not be considered a sucker punch because you "saw it coming."

  • @lakeraider77 haha ok.....A sucker punch is a blow made without warning, allowing no time for preparation or defense on the part of the recipient. The term is generally reserved for situations where the way in which the blow has been delivered is considered unfair or unethical. In practice this often includes blows delivered from close range or from behind. Gleason reached across to help the ref push Gaustad back and Gaustad just starts punching Gleason in the face.

  • @Hurricave Sucker punch means he doesn't see it coming... he saw it the whole way and he started the pushing..

  • @lakeraider77 Apparently we aren't watching the same video. The video I'm watching (the one up above) clearly shows Gaustad looming over Allen. The ref is even trying to keep Gaustad back. Finally, Gleason steps in and pushes Gaustad back and then Gaustad punches him in the face. Gleason did not hit Gaustad in the face and you can clearly see Gleason's glove holding onto Gaustad's shoulder when Gaustad sucker punches him in the face.

  • @Hurricave .... Gaustad is talking to another player and here comes Gleason's glove to the face... Gleason is watching Gaustad the entire time... nothing was suckered...Gaustad won... Gleason lost..

  • Same thing Gleason did to Kulimin last season. He knows he's gonna get his face mashed -- tough player. Props to both players.

  • @lakeraider77 He got sucker punched. Once he regained his composure, he was able to get on top of Gaustad. Gaustad is lucky the refs broke it up, because he would have been pummeled.
