Such an impressive display. I could do Kandasana when I was younger, so I know how difficult it is. Not only do you make it look easy and comfortable, but you are able to combine it with so many other interesting and difficult poses. Truly inspiring.
Thanks a lot for the tips. I also have a book of Iyengar where I knew the name of kandasana and the pose. I will try your advise to sit on full lotus for more time a day. And do you think side split is also helpful?
The first time I saw Kandasana in the book of Iyengar I tried and was able to do it, but not without hands! I think that my ankles and knees are supple enough because of lotus : I sit most of the time in that position. Try to sit more in full lotus! Try also to practise Kandasana in Sarvangasana : it is not so painful when the body is upside-down and you can stay longer.
