  • Excellent Review...but, John could you help me to get a Pat Metheny sound? (you know that jazz sound he has). Thank U

  • I feel the best he sounded was when he was playing an old Gibson ES 175 and I think he was using a pair of Acoustic amps in stereo. I could be wrong but that's what it looked like from the seats at the Roxy in Hollywood.

  • John, great overview of the amp. I know you hit on the Blues sound a bit, but can you, with your experience, help me out with the settings that would bring me close to Claptons sound? I realize there so much more involved, pickups, pedals..... but I've been tinkering and just can't seem to dial in to something close to his sound. Michael

  • Get a small tube amp and crank it up to at least 7 with no effects or pedals (maybe a little reverb).

  • would it be okay to play a bass thorugh this amp at low volumes?

  • Very very low.
