Wow, enjoyed this very much. As a newcomer to the uke your advice has certainly helped. Keep at the videos, I loved this rendition!

thanks, it kind of amazed me to....but then it is an instrument... it should be able to play these types of songs (it is me that has the limits). keep watching.

great vids man. I was just wondering, where is a good place to find a good quality uku? and how much should i be expecting to pay for something as beautiful as yours? my first ukulele was $40 at my local music shop. And also, what type of strings do you use? Just wanting to know how i can get started doing covers so i can share with people like you have. btw, diggin the hats. Keep it up

I have answered this a million times and need to put this up on my website so I can direct people in the future.
My suggestion is to buy the best instrument you can afford. This improves your playing since is sounds good, so you play and practice longer.
Part 1
Instrument in order of preference are 1) Luthier built instrument like my DaSilva SM1 ($900), 2) KoAloha ($600), 3) KoAlana ($200), 4) Flea with rosewood fingerboard ($250). I prefer soprano sized.
Part II
Strings Aquila - ONLY!

i did post this information (and expanded with web links) on my instrument page om my website jazzukes (dot) com. i really cannot say enough about buying a luthier built instrument. it is well worth the investment. for hats try villagehatshop (dot) com. i wear the executive style from Bailey
