When your contracter opens these walls, you may find some things you were not expecting. Dry rot, mold, termite damage, skeletons...

get a good contractor, with total knowledge and ability to manage the project. dont try to manage a large renovation yourself, you'll make a dogs breakfast of it, and wont even know, because you have no idea how things should be. that is the tip of the century
