  • This is a very different arrangement, kinda before its time.

  • yeah. i would say so too. One may also the Ward Singers were far advanced on every side from other gospel groups of that day.

  • i know that the staple singers did a version of this song called " great day " do you have that.

  • Now luke, i'm still looking for that one. I'll get back at ya.

  • She sounds like her mom

  • Great version.

  • Ok Willa I hear you!

  • Yes Sir. Mr. Ward Singer Historian" I was giving you honor and props. You the man!!! I"m in full agreement. I didn't know, that is why I came to the direct source, cause you know Mrs. Willa Ward personally. Thank you for the nice reply back. lol.

  • Yes, I, "Mr. Ward Singers Historian" (LOL) do know as a fact that Willa Ward wrote that. She told me and I also have the sheet music! Ain't the Lawd alright?

  • Now I must say, indeed, I love the way Mrs. Willa goes up and down the scales in that high register, that takes a great deal of anointing. Most women with high voice usually had to be trained in this way, but Mrs. Willa's obviously came naturally. Love It!!!
