As the Canadian Coast Guard is about helping people, each sea going personnel are trained in Search and Rescue techniques (SAR). Philip Walker is a Search and Rescue Preparedness Officer who has been with the Canadian Coast Guard for over 18 years in the Maritimes region; he is a lead Instructor for the CCG Search and Rescue Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The following video will demonstrate the Canadian Coast Guard Rigid Hull Inflatable Operator's Training Course which includes both basic and advanced boat training, man overboard exercises, capsized reversal training, and pacing exercises. The Canadian Coast Guard is more than a career; it's an adventure!

Comme un des mandats de la Garde côtière canadienne est de venir en aide aux gens, tout le personnel naviguant a reçu une formation en techniques de recherche et de sauvetage (SAR). Philip Walker est officier de préparation de recherche et de sauvetage (SAR), il compte plus de 18 années de service dans la région des Maritimes de la Garde côtière du Canada et est instructeur principal au centre de recherche et de sauvetage de la GCC à Dartmouth (Nouvelle-Écosse). Cette vidéo est une démonstration du cours de formation des pilotes d'embarcations pneumatiques à coque rigide (RHIOT) qui comprend une formation de base et avancée, des exercices de sauvetage de personnes à la mer, une formation en sauvetage de bateaux chavirés et en taux de performance.
