11 yr. old getting head shaved......little dude thinks his sister's hair would make a awesome broom

We will get to donate her hair.....2 beautiful thick ponytails!Sarnovial Sarcoma... a rare form of cancer. Sam is my 11 yr. old Daughter, when she got the news that Grandma Shannon had cancer, she asked me if Grandma would be losing her hair, I told her yes, Grandma has to go through chemo therapy, and it will cause her hair to fall out. Sam was quick to say that she wanted to shave her head, to support Grandma Shannon and donate her hair. Shannon was told on Jan. 14th 2010 that she had Sarnovial Sarcoma Cancer, and the tests results were: a tumor in her lung 2 times bigger than her heart in size, and a tumor the size of a small watermelon in her pelvis area. The Dr. had to tell her that in her case the cancer was inoperable, terminal, and there is of course NO CURE. Wow talk about silent killer, Shannon is only 48. I'm so proud of my Daughter, she is so brave and caring, strangers do stare at her trying to figure out if she is a boy or girl, but she dosen't care. She has been strong and understanding, about people's curiosity. Anyone who asks she let's them know she shaved her head for her Grandma. To her it's really not a big deal, of course she did it, she would do anything for her Grandma, wouldn't you?

I'm 11 too and I did that and donated my hair and it felt good knowing I did a good thing :)
