  • We live in Ayn Rands world, a world of selfish and inconsiderate individualism. Take a look around, and thank Ayn Rand for what you see! I wince at the countless hordes misled by this otherwise well-meaning brutal lady.

  • Kobe29261 - really? you think people are living out their rational self-interest and acting from flawless integrity, as was rand's explicit vision? i don't see it.

  • Not anymore.

  • expricornis - would you explain what you mean?

  • beautiful

  • Pantalaimon345 - i'm glad you see it. how funny that people are surrounded by it, yet see and feel it not.

  • Whenever I hear Ayn Rand I think of this line from the bible. "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." Genesis 1:28

  • @zWzld Spread the word.

  • @Kobe29261 no, we live in a government controlled world just as Atlas Shrugged predicted that is now failing due to the governments lack of respect for free individuals.

  • @Kobe29261 This may have functioned nice in the 2,5 billion people Earth, from the 50´s-70´s. Not today .Cocain do the same effect of such excessive faith euphoria, concerning individuality rights. Theres nothing new on her speech. Since Plato , everything is "plenty of freedom". And things are not just only how they should be, but achieved the maximal perfection !. Thats the perennial politicians fakery. It wont surprise-me if someone discover Ms Rand was a drug addicted.

  • @aynrand2009 Flawless integrity no, but self-interest absolutely. Heck even she didn't have flawless integrity, word has it she slept with Mr. Branden (another womans husband) but that's neither here nor there. What am saying is that her philosophy has some very harsh and questionable implications. Take her stance on American Indians, shockingly insensitive. I admire the good part of her philosophy but lets be honest in our assessment.
