Is he a teacher at Charlie Brown's school? Because he talks exactly like one!

Oh your goffin is so cute. I love the little rambling it does. How old is s/he?

@BijanParandeh This is VERY true! Mine can be extremely loud at times. I advise everyone to do their homework before getting involved with a creature like the cockatoo.

Goffins are wonderful and I miss my little guy that got out the door back in 2006. I will have another one some day and I will clip his wings. Don't you just love how they have so much to say sometimes?

This is a really steep generalization that is going to give a lot of people the wrong idea. Some of the most persistent loud birds I know are Goffins.

I find that cockatoos get frisky beforebed. mine gets all wacky. e starts putting his wings up and putting on a show.

mine is extremely loud.
Goffins are extremely loud. I have read a bunch of stuff saying they aren't as loud as the bigger cockatoos, which is probably the case, but still, they are EXTREMELY loud.
Mine screeches a lot, not only at morning and evening. Sometimes if I'm sitting quietly and she lets out a screech it is loud enough to make me jump.
Cockatoos are also very high maintenance in the emotional department. You need to spend a lot of time with them.

@effekt59 yes they are! just because they are small, some people think they are easier or less noisy. My goffin can be heard from the back of my house inside to me inside my car just getting home and parking.
& yes, mine never stops when he is out (which is most of the time I am home) they are more than an energizer bunny!

I'm going to get one tonight!! They look like so much fun. I have owned birds, but never a Cockatoo. Any advice, anyone?

@funandeducation please do your homework before getting a cockatoo. they are extremely loud, destructive, needy, and intelligent. DO NOT BUY ONE. Please visit your local rescue and adopt one. Buying animals only adds to the overflowing of rescues.
