During the rule of Stalin(1928-53), the Soviet Union, a 200 years backyard country, became the most advanced country of the world, aside the most developed capitalist countries. Misery, unemployment, prejudice and illiteracy were eliminated from Soviet territory.
Agriculture was modernized and production means were distributed among proletarians. The women were emancipated and became leaders at many functions, specially military and medicine. In 40´s, the sniper Lt. Lyudmila Pavlychenko was the first Soviet woman received by American authorities. In Central Asia, the obligatory using of "paranja" was abolished.
Invaded by Nazi Germany, the USSR was, together with UK, one of the only European countries to resist, defeating fascism.
Brother nation, USSR gave special assistance to many liberation uprisings, specially planning the emancipation of Afro-Americans through the "Republic of New Africa", planned to happen in S. USA.
Stalin contested many of Komintern historicaly proofed wrong decisions, influencing some communist leaders which took power at E. Europe.
Acording to Churchill, during Stalin times, USSR came from plow to nuclear energy. It was golden age of constructions, victory and enthuasism, as stated by many foreign observers.
