Take a tour through historic North Okanogan County in Washington State. Many old mining, farming, and ranching towns still dot the landscape throughout region. Today you can still step back in time and experience when times were simpler but where the people toiled harder making a life out of the land. Old ghost towns are yours to discover such as Bodie or Molson. Empty homesteads sit silent among the highland grasses and gentle winds. Old railway beds still wind their way through forgotten valleys. Gold was the call over a century ago and the miners left their epitaphs etched in hard rock and tailings.
Enjoy the little video. Its a tribute to the pioneers who once called North Okanogan County home.

@kels0407 The Wheaton Homestead is located on the Toroda Creek Road about a mile north of where it meets with Chesaw Road. If you are driving from the south north on Toroda Creek Road the Wheaton Homestead will be on the left hand side. There is Forest Service Road that follows the south side of the homestead as well.
