Judging by the condition of the bushes that dared to put their branches above the stone wall that is the fence between King Bills and the runway at Ronaldsway I'm not the least bit suprised to see the cross wind landings.

The problem with having the airport there is, that it's always windy right in that area even on the warmest of days!
My friend lives in Janets Corner and when I go up to her house, its always blooming windy! lol

A320 and B737 operate charter flights in and out of Ronaldsway, but they can't (I believe) get out fully loaded.

Ok Video.
I came in to Ronaldsway on a jetstream once and it was literally 45degrees to the runway when it touched down. Shitting myself.

I had the same experience coming back to the Island from Bristol last year. On final approach we could see the runway from our seats at the back of the plane - a sight that upset some of my fellow passengers!
