  • I think the issue is not really a decreasing population. If it is at that point, the solution will be really simple - use less condoms and contraceptives and have more kids. I think that will come natural. But that issue may be one to think about once population is within the carrying capacity of this planet again. Even if your projection of a peak in population in 2040 is correct, the issue of a dwindling world population would not be one to think of before 2100!

  • @Shiprex When people everywhere refer to depletion of energy, they are not necessarily contradicting the laws of conservation of energy. What they are referring to is the depletion of potential. Uniform heat has no potential, whereas an energy-equivalent unit of mass in a cold environment *does* have potential.

    .

"yes we replace them but not in the way you imply."

We do replace resources in the way I imply, or we wouldn't be getting wealthier over time at an average rate of 2% per year.

  • @hitssquad so all the trees we cut down for farming and human expansion are replanted where? what about the oceanic resources like fish etc do we continue to replace the ones we remove? The thing we do very well is replace resources we use to sustain our lifestyles with rubbish trash and pollution. yes we replace them but not in the way you imply. And if you had any idea about energy you would realise you neither create nor destroy energy only change it from one form to another.

  • @Shiprex "Are we putting more into the earth's resources provision than we take out?"

Yes, if you include non-natural resources. No, in terms of only natural resources; but we don't destroy any natural resources other than energy, the Master Resource: masterresource. org/2009/07/energy-as-the-master-resource-where-left-right-and-center-agree

  • @amonaghan "60 years ago the population of the ENTIRE planet was 2 billion."

No. That was 85 years ago (1927).

  • this is disinformation

  • Human being are endangered? ...BAHHAHAHa nice one

  • @TheGeneralOfWar obama is thining everone out by puting us endangered species out of work and on foodstamps

  • why dont we jsut sterilize every child on the planet thats under the age of 10?

  • @TheGeneralOfWar sigh, well that calculation was for about 6 billion I think but the point of it is to show we have lots of room to grow food and space to breath.
