Brighthouse is a Terrible ISP

This is just a little video showing you the crap I have to go through with my ISP when I play games. It's almost unbearable at times and I'm just about ready to come completely unglued on Brighthouse.

I just might do that this week.

@brettberginbc Just so you know I work for a pretty major CDN where I do network troubleshooting all the time. I wouldn't have made this video if I didn't know that it was the ISPs fault. Which, by the way, it was. And this video got Brighthouse's attention, which got me in touch with their Senior-level Engineers, which got them to actually fix a lot of their problems.

I recommend you don't assume things about my intelligence. I do this for a living and Brighthouse support was not sufficient.

if you have lightning are you using the proper router and card?

Oh also.....first answer to lag questions on microsoft//sony is do you have an n router, as they recommend and are your ports forwarded....firewall settings....get the facts instead of stating random things about slowness, showing something is slow means nothing if its your equiptment settings messing it up. I know you probably dont know the diff but please try to find out the cause before blaming random things, not good science.

Ok brief periods of no internet LOL!!!!! bro its your setup. First, forward your ports, second make sure upnp enabled on router. make sure router is not crap and that it can pick up dns updates. The packets are scanned for attacks by the ROUTER not isp provider. They can't handle it omg! "esp when i host" not forwarding will kill you as a host......upload speed matters also.....check your equipt and show it before you post lag videos plz

all I can go off of is some ping test you ran at the end of your video, other than the brief commentary on your personal opinion of a network, no valid evidence of this being an ISP issue..If they fixed your issue thats great. The fact their "top level engineers" had to resolve a single customer issue, seems quite unusual. I myself have been in the field for quite sometime, and have heard a lot of people complain bout their ISP's when really, 9/10 its their issue in the first place.

Im soo tired of these idiots who atuomatically assume its a problem with there ISP when they have done absolutely NO testing what so ever to determine this...Once you know a thing or two about how networking works please make a video explaining your reasoning as to why this is your ISP. otherwise remove this shitty video.
