  • Couldn't turn off the tv?

  • @pjrs78 Turn off my kids favorite show, no way.

  • I have been thinking of changing out the pickups on my Swamp ash special. I have one of the original ones with McCarty pickups. I think they are ok but I know there are much better to be had that can really accent the guitars tone. I like the bridge pickup but the neck just isn't really my favorite. I tend to be a neck pickup guy especially clean. Are the lollars 4 conductor and how is it wired compared to stock? Is it the exact same selections? My PRS swamp ash is my go to guitar 4 sure.

  • @willeng84 Yes, they are wired the same. I find the Lollars to be great PU with this guitar. I tried some of my favorite Seymour Duncans first but they really did not work in this guitar. I have not really tried any other PUs (in this axe) because the Lollars just seem to be very musical in my PRS. Of course these are just my particular likes. The one thing I noticed is that my FX pedals really loved the original PUs and I did lose that however the gained musicality was worth that change.

  • Dude, Thanks for putting out these demo vids. Very helpful. Peace, out.

  • @abosco771906 you are very welcomed...I plan on doing some better demos when I get a chance...thank you

  • you smoke buds?

  • I wish I had a solid bridge on mine versus the trem. I have an older original PRS trem bridge on my Strat - and rarely put the arm on - but other than that I am a stoptail guy.

What year is yours? They made it so the neck pup split on the early ones - like mine - and put McCarty pups in them. I like the McCartys but think they would sound better in a LP.

  • @mctabla and also:....I also humble say to a look at skatterbranes PU ... I "have talked" to skatt a lot on the MLP forum and he is just the right type of insane to build some excellent PUs...I will be putting those into my next HB guitar...(right now I have lollars, WCR, WB, Fralin, and some bill lawrence PU in my other guitars...but I do have a couple of sets with lollar...very nice PU)

  • @mctabla I hate to say this but I do not remember fully...I called up lollar and talked to jason how did a great job of listening and working with me...I also emailed him a couple of times in the past and he responded and is a nice guy...but, the talking o the phone worked a lot better,,,now, if I remember right they were not high winds...and the middle PU is a blackface..but it has been a while,,,I
