Incredible Oklahoma City Hail Storm 5-16-2010

This is raw unedited HD television footage I shot with my Canon EOS 5D MKll of the unbelievable hail storm that occurred in Oklahoma City on Sunday May 16th 2010. In the 30+ years I've storm chased I've never seen anything quite like it. As the video unfolds towards the 2:00 min mark so does the intensity. It was a very violent storm to say the least, probably over 100 million dollars in damage!

@csrivalry Oh really? I don't live in North Florida, but where I live in FL we haven't had a really big storm since..1992 and kinda in 2005. It's been pretty boring. lol

@Panicfan1234567890 It's weird. People ask me why I would live there. They are dumbfounded when I tell them these storms are a big reason. I saw some killer storms in north Florida. Florida is beautiful place. I could deal with living there. They also have weather.

@csrivalry I actually totally understand, I have lived in Florida all my life & most of the time its always SO hot & sunny, people call me crazy when I say I would like a storm or some different weather once in a while, but I get tired of the same thing. It is exciting when there is severe weather!

What people who aren't from Oklahoma don't understand: It is indeed horrible when severe weather takes lives and damages property. There is also something about this weather that makes you feel alive and electric. These storms put off a huge amount of energy. I have been living in AZ for the last 6 years. Always sunny always clear as a bell. It's the summer vacation that never ends. It's very depressing. I crave Oklahoma.

Damn. In colorado we get hail but not like this. Well one time we did but most times the hail is only golf ball sized and xomes down ao fast and lasts long..... We also mostly have stupod snow
