Best of Bookbits-
There is no writer quite like Farley Mowat. His books have alerted us to the plights of wolves, whales and indigenous peoples. His "Boat Who Wouldn't Float" is one of the funniest books ever written. At over eighty years old, he just won't stop writing. "Walking the Land" in 2000 took Farley Mowat back into familiar territory, Canada's north.

  • One of my favorite writers, and one of Canada's national treasures.

  • He is indeed. Sometimes when you meet a favourite author you are disappointed. Not with Farley. He was even nicer, funnier, and kinder than I expected. What a wonderful man!

  • Farly was a favorite when i was a kid. And i'm in my 50's now. God Bless him..truly a national treasure..

  • Mr. Mowat speaks of one of the most important books I have ever read "People of the Deer" and two follow up writings. This interview should have a visual track befitting the subject to unveil and inspire others to read from Mr. Mowats pen.

    Exhilarating, esoteric,and excruciating.

    Farley Mowat.

A man who should be knighted for being who he is and for what his works can accomplish in a humans soul.

  • thank you.
