  • Love how the wings are designed to droop down at the ends and then during takeoff they lift up. Awesome, really.

  • Big Ugly Fat Fucker...Haha, BUFF! I love the B-52 either way.

  • @bpoostrander The water cooling (de-ionized water) will also provide more thrust. There's a lot of steam in the exhaust as well.

  • I was told by a 52 pilot it stands for "Big Ugly Fat Fellow", but maybe he was being polite!

  • Do a split S!

  • @yblocker Yes it is, Pratt & Whitney TF33 (JT8D) Love to hear them.

  • @archides Its actually a water-coolant to prevent the engines from overheating on takeoff, those poor engines get worked very hard on take off. Thats why the use the water to cool 'em.

  • Next time its time to update the tags Congress needs to make sure these babies get a smog check =P

  • I'm working about 20 miles north of Barksdale and I get to see them fly over almost everyday. The Courthouse I'm working in now is on the final approach to Barksdale. bigj70634: You won't see them over Shreveport because their landing pattern is from the North and they come in over Benton into Bossier. Nonetheless I see one and I can't stop looking at the monster in the sky!

  • @REAPER2172

I rarely see them around shreveport also, only a few times i see one landing or flying around. I luckly saw a b-2 land one day.

  • your lucky man :) i would love to be near a Air Base :D
