Cant answer how music player arranged in N900. In X6 it would be offcourse portrait. I expect, that apps developers will create several music players for N900 (open source rules) and may be their skins would be portrait, course it is reasonable to have one hand interface possibility.

Often landscape is the best. However, there are many situations where portrait is not only better, but expected by consumers. Browsing music for example. All media players today employ music selection with one hand.

If it's trivial to do... then do it please.

whos stupid idea was it to not support portrait mode? While most online apps require a keyboard and landscape, it is also convenient to use portrait mode when using the device with one hand.
