@YuriKenobi Thankyou, I am going to look up Noam Chomsky work

If America and Canada didn't invade and stop Hitler then how many more people would have died? He wanted to change the whole world, it would have only been a matter of time.
There will probably always be war, war is a vague definition. You cant perfect humane nature, even if you could it doesn't take much to invoke violence.

I'm in the military, and when I question Just War theory I get some fantastic over-reactions. I have even been accused of being a homosexual for saying that I felt violence was useless and immature.

have you seen my baseball?

5 months old post, but I'll comment anyways. You ought to listen to Noam Chomsky who has the best explainations about how people in the western nations are indoctrinated into this way of thinking.

I've read all of H. Zinn's books. I follow everything he says closely, not because he's somekind of preacher, or prophet, but because he maintains an astute eye on the proceedings of government. I worry that he's only "preaching" to the converted, since whenever I talk Zinn to various people who still believe in the concepts of a "just war" they balk, and remain naive. Or even angry. Why is this?

your all good people. lots of love and peace to you and your families.
