The match - Huntsville Indians vs a team from Decatur

On 17th May the Huntsville Indians played against a team from Decatur lead by Naren. After winning the toss Suneel decided to bat first and the home side made a solid start and finished with 152 on the board against a rookie bowling attack who were very inconsistent with their line and length. The highest scorer was indeed the extras. Sravan and Rohit made the big hits while I played a sheath anchor role and remained unbeaten after I was dropped in the third over by Naren. Right form the start of the game things seemed to be one sided in favour of the home side. The visitors from Decatur while chasing the huge target lost wickets in quick succession. But some decent show by their skipper took them till the final over as they made 109 in 19.3 overs. Manish , Kishore, Suneel and Pavan shared the damage to the opponents. Pavan did take a couple of skyers in the deep midwicket region to send the openers back. A direct hit by Vinod was another highlight of our good fielding. I did get to make a couple of stumpings off Pavan and Kishore. In the end it was a three hour game which we won easily.

The playing 11 lead by Suneel included Kishore, Vinod, Sravan, Bathina, Rohit, Ravi, Keerthi, Manish, Venkat and Pavan.
