@JaiNobesIsARat If you would like me to be more direct, then you're wrong, there is no where in there that it even hinted at what you wrote. I honestly don't mean to be rude, but that's all there is to it. In the beginning of the song, she was still able to speak and told him explicitly to save her ("Promise, when the lights are fading You'll save me"). So no, it's not just him being a sadist, she's wanting him to save her.
P.S. "Reply with your take on it" is very ambiguous
