Wiley Post

Wiley Post, born in Texas, but quickly moved to Maysville, Oklahoma where he grew up. He lost his left eye in an oilfield accident and with the insurance money settlement he bought his plane the Winnie Mae. He took multiple flights around the world, some funded by Bartlesville's Frank Phillips. Wiley Post help create the first pressurized suit. He broke many speed and flight records. Sadly he died in a plane crash near Barrow, Alaska in 1935.
