  • Think this is a Jeff Barry , Ellie Greenwich composition..I believe....wish folks who post these tunes give credit to the writers and not just the singer......great tune...Quincy Jones Producer?..thanks in advance

  • @Tunz909 - You're right, Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry wrote this song. And yes, Quincy Jones was Lesley's producer.

  • This is way too fast.... it is like the recording is going at 65rpm. That may be why it doesn't sound right to some of you. It is actually the REAL single from 1964, but the turntable this is playing on is very fast!

    A WONDERFUL SONG!

  • I was a teenager when this song came out and it has always sounded like that. It's not speeded up at all.

  • This goes in my category of Hate the meaning of the lyrics but love the song. I could tell her what to do! *LOL* thanks

  • Ahhhhh, pre women's lib. LOL This is lyrics from back in the (He's a jerk and treats me like crap but I love him anyway) days. A lot of Carole King/ Gerry Goffin lyrics are in this category.

  • I'm 15& I love this song :D

    who gives a shyt

  • I love her flip hairdo

  • the katie perry of the 60's! :)

  • This really brings back memories of "64"

  • my record player sped up music too. this is a lil fast, but it still sounds good.

  • And yes, This WAS Produced by the one and only Quincy Jones..most know him by Michael Jackson's "Thriller" fame as well as

M Jackson's "Bad"..but Quincy Jones was a Producer from the 1960's..and a Footnote: as much as I love the Mix's on Both Mono AND Stereo Versions, I STILL feel that the hand-clap track on both versions is a bit too loud..LOL I would have mixed the hand-claps a bit lower on both Versions..LOL..but thats just me..Sorry Quincy, and you know how much i love your work!!!

  • Ok..OK..hope this helps you all... :-) they were Exactly TWO Versions of this song..This being the 45rpm MONO mix, meant to be played on AM Stations which were dominant at this time in the 1960's..the Second version is the 33RPM LP Stereo version..WHICH IS The Original Correct Speed that "Maybe I Know" was recorded at---This WAS a Practice the Record Company's did to ALOT of Singles for a LONG Time..You Should LISTEN to Any Beatle's Single ( 45rpm) Versions and compare them to the 33rpm Version.

  • This is really ahead of it's time!

  • @VinylNostalgia *sped
