And Taylor ended up fighting Pavlik twice! Why shouldn't Taylor fight for the most money? He's a prize fighter. He already had the belts, so getting money was the goal. Nothing wrong with fighting for more money and then coming back to the guy everyone wants to see you fight, later. It wasn't like Pavlik was a contender to his title for long, anyway. I could see if it was going on 2 years and Taylor was blatantly ducking him.

I like Taylor, but even back then before he lost how do you figure he'd beat Calzaghe? He beats guys like Froch, Calzaghe, Hopkins, Winky on natural ability, but he couldn't pull one out against Winky and I'm not sure he did against Hopkins. I think it would have looked like when he "tied" Winky, but worse. Calzaghe's bigger, and he wouldn't drop that last round either. I don't think Froch or Taylor would stand a chance against Calzaghe now.
