if you hate joey when she choose pacey you got a real problem!!!! true love it's not the same thing with friendsheep look season 3,4 and 6 and you will understand that dawson never real wanted joey he was in love with E.T and spealberg!!!

Yeah it was sort of funny it was called Dawson's Creek coz Pacey kind of had a way of stealing the show.

No- it wasn't Pacey's Creek but it WAS Pacey's show. Successful shows get the audience behind a character to the point they believe the character's story is their own or what they want. Teen guys saw themselves in Pacey; teen girls want someone like him. Since 90% of fans got behind Pacey it thrust him into the lead. It's vital to understand that. Also, if viewers can't relate to characters (Dawson) they quit watching. If you lose your audience you lose money- then you get canceled.

i think the writers and producers were surprised by the chemistry of pacey and joey and the fans approval rating of their relationship over dawson and joeys.
they probably had it all planned out and then just changed things up on a whim due to the impact of pacey and joeys relationship.
but yeah, by the end of the series it was all about pacey and dawson had a pretty pathetic conclusion
