@driverofsound I'm not a trucker but my dad used to play this album (and bunch of other prog rock/metal stuff) while he was driving a car ( and he still does) Best music for driving!
-
From what I've heard of Ayreon songs, they're all the best song.
-
@driverofsound It's absolutely incredible how the mind works like that.
I'm no trucker, but sometimes when I drive or walk by a particular area, or perform a particular part in a song I'll always think of the same thing- or remember what I was doing in that area at that time.
It's the same reason why I don't often listen to many of the songs I have the strongest connections to- purely in hopes of not severing or weakening that emotional connection.

Masterpiece! Especially from the middle to end...
-
the voice reminds me John Lennon in some parts

Mon passage favori : de 0,00 à 7'50"" !!! ...

Wow, this is an awesome song, one of the best by Ayreon!
It took me a while to notice that it alludes to the famous masterpiece by Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn, "The Nigh Watch", more properly called "The Company of Captain Frans Banning Cocq and Lieutenant Willem van Ruytenburgh".
I now use it as a ring tone on my iPhone.

@Icarionn well.. the first and last is Y(01011001) As in the truth is in here Hippie 'from into the electric castle"
is telling about his journey using same words like then (on a woing of an amazing flight) . Its difficult to tell order because all albums are connected in more than one point. Its like a fishnet. Everything is connected. Im sure 01011001 is beggining and the end of whole story.
-
@codynstuff In short they are all tied, and the story is epic.
-
@codynstuff character dies, so therefore it must be between. 01011001 is kind of telling what went on in the background. It's tie makes itself obvious a few times, given how part of Sixth Extinction is called 2085 which is when the world dies. The song 2084 on Universal Migrator relates to this as well. Also River of Time talks about sending visions back in time to alter the future, where Final Experiment begins with a dialog about how visions were sent back to help the human race.
best song!
