  • how do I tell the difference between lockshield valve and control valve? On my radiator, both ends look the same, and there is no cap on them.

Might be best if you join my forum (links on my channel page) and ask in the plumbing forum and one of the professional plumbers will advise you!

You can post pictures of the valves then ;-)

  • what if its leaking from the bit where you turn it on, ie the where that cap went on. Ive tightened it up, put some of that white tape stuff behind the nut etc but it still leaks.

  • @bicnarok

It might be leaking from the stem of the valve!

  • @bicnarok i got that now. a little trickle coming out of where you turn it on or off

  • @sunnypatel66

Well, it is upside down so yes it will be the opposite direction. However it is a right hand thread and you always tighten a right handed thread in a clockwise direction ;-)

  • When you tighten the nut should it not be in an anticlockwise direction if looking at it from the top as in the video ?

  • @doggyme1 Replace the valve or call a plumber!
