Winter Rose was a self titled debut album by the glam metal band fronted by James LaBrie (Dream Theater lead singer) released in the year 1987. It was then re-released in 1997.

They could've been a successful band if LaBrie didn't leave, though they wouldn't have lasted as long as Dream Theater. I like this stuff if only because his voice was so fresh back then.

Oh well. They released this album in 87. It was still a good year in glam but then came grunge in the beginning of the 90's and it washed away almost every band in this style... They wouldn't have survived either.

It was a good decision to join Dream Theater. Probably another style but definitely one of the most influential prog metal bands ever. And we have to admit that most people wouldn't know about Winter Rose without DT:)
