@SpiritwindFlash13 ...(cont.)...that as a youth leader, the youth were unaware of most of the Christian rock out there...I have to educate them on good music choices. But, what blew me away was being at a church 4 years ago where they had just started out, and many came from a larger church with a pretty modern sound. When the worship team was ready to add a drummer, everyone freaked out! Nevermind that the drummer was from their former church, and played softly...it was a demonic instrument!
@SpiritwindFlash13 I remember my older brother was going to hell for listening to rock, secular or Christian, but I was on the coat tails and was able to take the flack, as the older ones had taken the beating for so long by the church. Jimmy Swaggart was preaching HARD against this stuff...until he fell from grace, and it was hard for the adults to keep to that hard stance. I thought we all grew in Christ and kids knew secular music was bad, and parents accepted Christian rock, only to find..
@SpiritwindFlash13 There are a few of us who DO remember. Grew up in the 70's. Saw these guys while in college in '83 in Grand Rapids, Mi. Blew me away that I could have my Jesus AND my rock music! I was just learning guitar at the time and these guys inspired me to never be afraid of the "gain" knob. Jesus loves rockers too!! The devil does NOT have all the good music.
I was there in the Beginning in81 or 81 when dean harrington was with the Group! went every mon night for 2 or 3 years and you people don't realize the church hated this kind of music back then
Great Guys. Seen them many times.

Wow, the quality of this is a lot better than I thought It'd be.
My dad was a techie for this band, he still knows Mylon. It's so cool because we have all the songs on CD from when my dad and mom worked with them.
