@00mo12 With decent filtration and the right amount of water for your turtle, tanks should only need to be cleaned every 2 weeks or so. Also, only about 10 to 15% of the water should be changed, so you don't screw up the nitrogen cycle.

turtle army ready to go
turtles are excellent swimmers and do well with a lot of water, put as much water in your tank as what i have, get a 'turtle dock' from a petshop, stick it to the side this will give it an area to come out of the water, make sure it has a good filter in the water or you will have to do regular water changes, and feed it the stuff i mentioned before, do this and you should have a healthy happy turtle, but i suggest you read up on how to keep them properly!!

this happens far tooooo often!! people get the animals without any basic knowledge how to keep them.
give it a varied diet of turtle pellets, worms, shrimp, crayfish, depends what size yours is you could even try him on a small live fish!
make sure it has a basking area to come out of the water.

i get an old tub and a bucket scoop the water out using the tub and put it in the bucket then pour it away, do this a few times untill its almost empty then i can carry the tank to clean properly then refill it in the same way, make sure temps are ok before putting the turtles back in
