It's not the Sorting Hat's song, it's the Hogwarts school song, there's a difference. And if you read the first book you'd notice that this song is in there.

@TheSulferzombie Yep, everyone picked their own (like the Weasley twins sang it to the funeral march and finished after everyone else). I hear it in my head to a different tune which was the one they taught us at a Harry Potter camp I went to when I was a kid.
