  • I tried your blueberry, grape, celery, spinach smoothie recipe this morning and I loved it!! Very delicious! Thanks so much :)

  • @CarolynCavanagh Oh excellent! Glad you liked it

  • Your hair looks great pulled back. Thanks for the great recipe! Also wanted to say I bought your savory dinners DVDs and the recipes are great. My whole family loved the corn chip recipe.

  • @dfrisable Thanks! I'm so glad you're loving the recipes. My friends were blown away by those Raw Mexican Cilantro Corn Chips, and they're super easy!

  • I think with a Vitamix it wouldn't matter if there were seeds in the grapes would it?

  • @NicoletteLynnMusic They don't pulverize seeds in smoothies completely. Raspberry and strawberry seeds are still there and probably grapes would be too, because they're so large. Because you blend a lot of fruit together for a short period of time it doesn't get 100% smooth and there is some grit to it, the more tough fibrous things you add to it.

  • @LowFatVeganChef - actually, I recently used some seeded grapes in a smoothie, and the seeds got pulverized just fine. I think this is because they are relatively large compared to things like blackberry or strawberry seeds, and also much softer. So if you ever buy seeded grapes by accident (and like me, you don't enjoy eating or fussing with eating around grape seeds) you can just use them up in a smoothie!

  • @LowFatVeganChef thanks for the info!!

  • @NicoletteLynnMusic The Vitamix does not puree small seeds like raspberry or strawberry seeds. Globe grape seeds are bigger, but I wouldn't want those chunks in my smoothie. I've accident blended a date pit in the vitamix before and ruined smoothies having to pick it out. It's good for grinding plant fibres but not all fruit seeds in liquid. Better than a regular blender, but there is always some grit when you have seeds

  • I typically do NOT like celery, but have tried adding a small chunk to my smoothie a couple times now, and while I find it pretty strong for even the tiny amount I add, I find that it adds a nice freshness to the smoothie!! Hoping I will build up a liking for more as I know it is so healthy!!
