The roll does also have the red metrostyle line - although I wasn't following it particularly. That's the beauty of the foot pumped pianola - the rolls merely provide the technique (the right notes in the correct order) the operator or Pianolist provides the rest. You are free to interpret any roll to suit your own taste.
