Tim Burton was only given an executive producer credit since he had started with ideas, but really had no ties whatsoever with the production once started.

well Tim Burton DIRECTED the first two yes, but in the other ones batman forever and batman and robin he is given credit as producer.

I agree with you about the new films. They're an incredible new way of showing Batman and all of the other characters as well. I love them, but I've always loved Joker and Batman since I was a little kid.
