I think this is great!!!! The children will love the bear and its a great way of getting across the message to the adults too. Children always go home from school & tell their parents what they have been doing or watching. They will tell their parents & hopefully the message will get across to them about drinking while cooking. Even if the drunk cooking message doesn't get across to the parents children will definitely love testing their smoke alarm once a week!!!
Recruiting children to influence adult behaviour is a well thought out approach to an issue that costs in lives and money each year. WYFS are clearly approaching this seasonal issue on a number of fronts. The message isn't for everyone, but will be of influence to some, those of us who have been motivated to comment must have been previously motivated to consider the issue, evidence of the successful impact of the video. Well done WYFS.
Brilliant children will love to watch Blaze Bear which will draw the parents to watch it. Then hopefully the adults will make sure they test there smoke alarms weekly and dont drink while cooking which is what alot of people do at christmas. Well done West Yorkshire Fire Brigade. Keep up the good work. Do these films get shown in Schools because I they should.
upon watching this video it occured to me that what we have on display here are two very different types of people. obviously the people both in, and behind this video are dedicated life savers. people that have devoted thier working lives to not only saving the lives of others but to also put thier own lives on the line in the process.time after time i dare say. Then we have the other type of people on display here, the comment leavers you should be ashamed of yourselves! saved any lives lately
I think this format, as an alternative to posters and leaflets, is an ideal means of getting the 'Keep Safe' message across to those adults and children, who use computers regularly and are, therefore, likely to watch video clips on youtube. Well done!
I think this is a very good idea, It actually shows children there is no great excitment in drinking either and that disastrous results can come from it!!! Wekll done west yorkshire Fire Service
