Braden plays with the sand differently from his "normal" play. also a loud jet passing over scares him. We just began DMSA 3 days ago so he is more sensitive to sounds and textures.

  • What tune were you humming at the beginning?

  • I asked myself the same question and couldn't figure it out...

  • He just LOVES that sand, huh? My backyard is empty pretty much, but there's a shed, garden (duh!), patio and a table with an umbrella. How old is your son? He looks like he's 5.

  • He is 5. This sand play is called "stimming" it is something people with autism do to self-stimulate. Thanks for the comment

  • Just so everyone knows the bottle in my hand is a Green Tea soda, not an alcoholic drink.

  • There's a steel train comin' through I would take it if I could and I would not lie to you because Sunday

    mornin' soon will come

When things will be much easier to say

Upon the microphone like a boss DJ

But I won't walk up upon the sea like it was dry land

Boss DJ ain't nothin' but a man

No trouble, no fuss, I know why..

It's so nice, I wanna hear the same song twice, it's so nice don't wanna hear the same song twice

  • Exactly! I didn't know you could hear me that well.. *BLUSHES*

    I love SUBLIME <3

  • Autism.. Something about people who have this makes me think that their third eye is very clean. At times they see clearer then any of us.

  • you know those jets flying over your house are dumping heavy metals onto your property :S

  • i have aspergers i also like the feel of sand as long as it dry and i love swings too but drawing with squres are my favorite thing to do

  • i dont know what is so cute

  • he is very sweet :)

  • So cute, He sure does love the look and feel of the sand.

Gosh you have done well living so close to an air station i don't know how you could handle the constant loud noise.

  • That video really touched my heart :) My precious 2 year old little girl has Autism, and that video describes everything I think about her. People should be more aware of Autism and realize that our children are like all other little children out there, and not just a label. I loved the video it's just what I needed to see :)

  • used to be terrified at loud noises as a boy but now i love loud, blaring music, and just recently at 27 have seen rambo 4 and wasn't phased a bit by the loud bombing and sniper gun fire. i guess the older you get and more exposed you are to pandemonium, the more desensitized you are to it. at least with me. i used to be pertrified of thunderstorms and ballons, and movies like candyman as a boy but now it's just a day in the park to me and i can tolerate it.
