I think it doesn't matter as long as it's Final fantasy III SNES. If it whould be just Final fantasy III then it whould be just plain wrong.

@BlanFan2O Chrono Trigger changed my life for the better, plus it has major replay value, lovable, memorable characters, complex relationships, time travel, and a kick ass soundtrack. You will no regret at least one play through of the Trigger. I found Cross less accessable... music was maybe better though. And the stories do tie together as nicely as two stories featuring time travel and operating between parallel but different dimensions can... lol
