  • btw i wasnt even flooring it.

  • i'm confused. i just bought an rx-8 two weeks ago and i'm hearing that i need to redline once in a while to keep my car in good shape? is that really true. not saying that is stupid or anything, i love revving the engine! i just need to clear things up

  • Yes you should redline your car once a day,, because carbon builds up the engine. Also MAKE SURE you heat up your car before u take it out... i learned that the hard way.

  • someone told me redlining isn't so bad with rotary engines

  • @ncarter124 and what exactly do you drive?

  • ok, so before you laugh at me, i just got a 2004 rx8 like a few days ago, but it seems like when i race and let the RPM's get above 7K it wont let me shift no matter how forcefully i try it just wont until the rpm's come down...Help?

  • @twistedyogert Yes, that's why they are so popular lol

  • @gocrytoyourmama Except for the lack of power, boring sound, horrible gas mileage and even worse reliability. Yeah, fantastic cars.

  • @FallenAngelFlonne Then what was the point? To show us how fast you can go from 6 to 99 if you aren't trying?

  • Are Rotary engines better then the well known piston type.

  • @FallenAngelFlonne Then what was the point of timing it?

  • @zpardos For sure man. But driving is kind of like poker. Everyone thinks they know what they are doing, but realistically, only few actually do. I live in so cal and I see so many kids w cars payed for by mommy and daddy, but they can not drive for shit. Out at Willow I watched my buddy in a stock WRX beet a dude in a slightly modified STI. WTF is going on there? lol

  • @Weslo2 Naw its not. It is actually good for them.

  • Rx8 is capable of better 0-100 than this driver has posted. He took 9sec to do 6-60 mph (stock series I driven properly can do it in under 6).
