I have seen a clip from the Granada archives with Charles Foster doing the Watch It continuity strand into Dr. Snuggles.
-
Watch It was just the duty announcer linking programmes with birthday greetings from the local area (in Tyne-Tees-land, anyway) - the programmes were usually networked - I remember seeing trailers for Tiswas creeping in ahead of an ATV programme called Kidsworld - only to be told after Kidsworld had finished that there had been a "mix-up" and that we would be getting Saturday Shake-Up instead!

Did you know that Channel 4 used this particular piece in full as part of one of their earlier trade test tapes, namely 21 Denmark Street?

I think it might be from 1980 or 81 as I understand the Watch It! stings where produced by ATV who where replaced by Central at the end of 81.
