@GREGNASTY Jordan wanted Stockton on the team for his passing and his control of a game's tempo, as did most the other players. It's funny because Jordan actually injured Stockton in a Dream Team practice and he missed some games if I remember right.

The Olympic rule back then was the US team had to have one college player to qualify. Michael Jordan would not play if Isiah was in the team. Magic Johnson did not bat for his best friend. I don't think Hakeem was not a US citizen back in 1992.
