I was 16 when this first aired I think, and remember it quite well. It was probably one of the most effective spots ever done on TV, at least as far as reaching teens was concerned. Having other kids making fun of it really made an impact, let me tell you. Never underestimate the power of TV y'all. I certainly never have.

We got this show because show writers were still allowed to have a sense of humor about things. We got this show because it was neither pushing nor rejecting the idea of drugs. It was taking the piss at it as they did to EVERYTHING. Real fans got it. Our parents didn't.
What's sad is that now we're being parents and we can't learn from our OWN parent's lack of vision. Sad.

I wish Nick would make an all 80's & 90's station, Thats when Nickelodeon ruled ! This show was awesome !!
