@dianamaxwell if you'll go back to the video, it says that biotech crops can REDUCE fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides application. Insect resistant biotech crops are usually insect specific, and most studies are focused on super pests that cause great losses for growers.

How will you grow GE crops with out pesticides and herbicides? How will you keep away super weeds and super pests? They are having problems with them in the US and around the world. These super weeds and pests require stronger and more toxic chemicals to control. The herbicides penetrate the soil and kill all the natural organisms. How is this sustainable? I look forward to a response.
