  • THE BEST

  • DEATH!!

  • @spidanez I do alot of front squats as well. I usually work up to 2 doubles or triples, and then drop down to maybe 365 back squat for 15-20 or 275 front squat for as many reps as I can get. I really only do singles for deadilft, and I hit a new PR tonight. I pulled 500 for the first time, it was really fucking hard but I didnt hitch so I am pretty happy with that.

  • @HITstrongman if i were you, because i am just throwing out some helpful info that i could have used, make your squats work for your deadlifts. its all lifting objects up. there has hardly ever been an actual barbell squat event in strongman. i would work on doing 3/4 rep squats for 20 rep sets after you exhaust the full range squats with heavy weight. powerlifting routines dont work the best because its also never 1 repstuff. its timed. i work up to a heavy triple then 315 for 20 for speed.

  • @spidanez Yeah, I would like to get to about a 600 lb deadlift before I start competing, and around 650 squat.
