In day to day life if someone did this they would be convicted of assault and get punished by imprisonment and fined accordingly! However in sport the ethical responsibility is much higher cos the players represent their countries /localities, they are idols for the younger generation, and should act as ambassadors for noble competitiveness. You don't get yellow or red cards in the street. Sport is about bringing the best human out of you and your peer, not about bringing the best animal out!!
