Programmed on an Amstrad CPC-6128 (Z-80 CPU) in the 1980's. I designed the application for editing and drawing the 3D computer graphics.

  • Do you use comtemporany 3d software now? I mean, if you do, then you must be great starting wayyyy back when you did.

  • @Raptorel I use OpenGL these days. I'd like to think I use it a bit better than many others thanks to my knowledge gained from rolling my own 3D engine in software. My early attempts (in the video above) were very crude and I barely understood the mathematics.

  • @peterwilson69 OpenGL? Isn't that more of an environment of 3d than a "software" in it's own rights? You know, like Maya, Max, Vue, ZBrush and so on?

  • @Raptorel OpenGL is the underlying 3D engine used by many other products. I use 3DStudioMax mostly and Maya sometimes.

  • hey quite fluid!!! it was not in basic, was it?

  • @fusionvillage Programmed in Basic, however I purchased a $2500 video camera (around 1992) and used stop-motion video-capture to produce the video. From memory it took about 3 seconds to draw each frame.

  • when i see this, i want to be a rich instance of myself living in the 70' with a day like: sleep, eat, researching and learning, sleep, ...

  • Those Z80 chips could do some outstanding things if you know how to use them.

  • That is absolutely AWESOME! This is one step away from being Dead Space 3! Now do it so we can look through the window of the house and see a girl showering ...

  • Damn at that time I was trying to do the same with a Z80. Unluckily, the only machine around my place was a Spectrum, we never saw an Amstrad. :(

    Good job, looks good!

  • I like this machine!

  • amazing : )
