@rgthre It is because there was a movie named "Bend it Like Beckham" which had very little to do with soccer. It was about a group of Indian girls who were living in very poor conditions and were inspired by Beckham.

Beckham is just a good free kicker and corner kicker is all he is good at. Some people make Beckham seem like he is a superstar. I think he is just a average player is what he is. Now Messi is a superstar and Cristiano Ronaldo. Anyway England always chokes like they do. I can't wait for the 2012 Euro Cup this yr!! I say Germany vs Spain in the 2012 Euro Cup Finals this yr.
