In this video, I will first play and then break down at a slower tempo a rendition of Pat Metheny's tune, "Letter from Home", from the album bearing the same name. I hope you will not only get to play a great tune, but also get inspired by it and learn some new moves for your own music.

  • Hi KorgSuch,

    It's a Roland FP7. I highly recommend it (no, I'm not getting money for this :) ).

  • Everyone's a critic ...

  • good, but the sound is not the original, you must practice the termination of accord.

  • Aye, piano is the best!

  • Nice version! Check mine out if you like.

  • do you have the transcription, is beautiful song.

    my mail is: gustavo_barrera@yahoo.com

  • The song is open to interpretation, that's what music is. He isn't teaching someone else's interpretation, he's teaching his. He may play wrong notes compared to Pat Metheny, or compared to the Bob Curnow version. But since it's his interpretation, notes are not wrong.

  • @LollypopsX7 clever point of view, music is first of all freedom and an attempt is never wrong.but.....when you do an attempt and tou call it "lesson" it's different, you should be an example for your student.I don't think this is the case and that's all.

  • @maty7976321 as soon as possible darling......

  • Regardless, your playing is just so beautiful and your chords are so dreamlike.

The older I get the harder it is to moved. But if I could play like you, I'd just zone out all the time.

  • @maxzanotti is correct, my friend. Lots of wrong notes in here. Check out Borja B. Gabriel's version which is near-perfect!

  • @lollypops

ok,maybe i was strong but.....there's a great difference between a simple playing and giving lessons.A person who teaches has a great responsability and in my opinion can not be wrong.the video,i repeat,is full of wrong notes and chords with big mistakes.Try to think if he was a surgeon......or a pilot......can you imagine what a student will do later?Anyway...peace and love.....

  • @maxzanotti I think an attempt, no matter how bad, is better than a pointless comment and no talent. If your going to critique, make it helpful, otherwise your wasting yours and others's time. Signed, Dan, 16 year sax player and 13 year pianist.
