Computer device used by the police to capture 100's of license plates at a time. On the surface seems good but nothing more then a Police State measure.

  • You know, the same insurance companies that you pay premiums to for 20+ years without an incident, and after $thousands of dollars paid in, if you turn in a window chip, they double your premium. Any car worth stealing is most likely covered fully by insurance. Soon it will be like the UK where there are hordes of surveillance cameras on every inch of American soil watching and recording our every move. Why do the innocent always have to pay the price of the bad apples in society? Police State!!

  • They'll be scanning your face next. Or, already are.

  • New technology yet the video "quality" sucks.

  • let's see... if you were a car thief, and used the stolen car everyday, wouldn't it be the first thing you did was replace the plates with legitimate numbers? You know, go to a junk yard, buy a wrecked car like you want, seek out and steal the same type of vehicle and swap all the numbers? So, WTF good is this system? Its just a way of Big Brother keeping tabs on us. Besides, if you have insurance, your stolen car will be replaced, that's why you pay insurance.

  • Just make an IR LED Plate Frame and it will not be visible, but jam that cam :)

  • What moron would stick a stolen car in a parking lot? Most drop them off at chop shops, so how does this new system fix anything? Just start selling optional tracking devices with vehicles. GPS devices are already trackable through satellite.

  • no sir, you are the idiot. police have no right to violate our civil liberties in order to find a stolen car

  • They will scan all cars. To see if any are stolen. "Oh this guy has a warrent" "No license"

    Fuck that.

    Traitors!

  • "Police State" eh? (then should be THAN, BTW) I say give these guys the most advanced tools available. If YOUR car was stolen, wouldn't you like it to be recovered quickly rather than getting a check from the insurance company for half its value? (if indeed you have insurance!)

  • Your an idiot, its to get stolen cars u dumb ass
